Joy, Anger, Sadness, Disgust, and Fear! Recently joined by Anxiety, Envy, Embarrassment, and Ennui… How do we know what’s going on inside our own brains? Navigating our feelings, navigating how our feelings show up in the world... All of our life experiences help to shape us and give us strength in the situations we face as we grow. And we get to show up as our full selves, with our whole range of feelings behind us! All this and more as Fabric Kids tackle what it means to bring what’s on the inside… out!

Kids begin with families in the Commons and then listen for the invitation to head back to the gym (K-5th grade) or the Media Center (Pre-K and Middle Schoolers) for about 40 minutes of play, creating, idea sharing, and friendship!

February 2 | Emotions and Memories: This week, we will be exploring how different emotions feel and how they can show up on the outside in different ways. Kids will practice knowing and naming their feelings and exploring how our memories have different feelings connected to them.

February 9 | Emotions and Conflict: Everyone feels things differently. This week we will be exploring how conflict can arise when people have different feelings. Trusting in God’s big vision of love invites us to have a unity of spirit with others, working through our emotions and connecting to something bigger!

February 16 | Coping with our Emotions: This week we will be investigating how our reactions to other people’s emotions and our own can be both helpful and unhelpful. We will wonder together what we need to help us navigate big feelings.

February 23 | Emotions and Beliefs: How do we get to know who we are? This week we will be discovering how emotions connect to our memories which help form our beliefs and sense of self. As we grow and discover who we are, we get to share our unique colors and light with the world.
